RedSafe is a free digital humanitarian platform that provides safe information and services to those in need (migrants, people in war zones or afflicted by other humanitarian crises). We have joined ICRC and created this video to explain in a simple and clear way how it works.

Now more than ever days look like a very long session to solve a jigsaw puzzle: scattering all the pieces, grouping them, figuring out how to frame them, realizing what doesn’t work and starting again.
Practice makes perfect and this is why we decided to transform four illustrations we made into 1000 pieces puzzles!

Today we started the final phase of work to rebuild the organic and veggie restaurant Estravagario, together with redesigning their brand and their visual language, in line with their values (very much ours!) and their story.

Each project has its own path and often times the final result is very different from the first drafts.
The definition of the illustrative style is an important step and we dedicate our full attention to it, presenting different proposals: a consistent system of illustrations makes the project recognizable and enriches its contents, conveying in a simple and immediate way what might be left out by words and numbers.

We’re working with ActionAid on a new video project and, as always, we’ve started from the storyboard. The storyboard is a document that matches voiceover and illustrations, in a draft form, to define what’s going to happen in the video. It’s a crucial step for us and for our clients: it allows us to clearly state our ideas, receive and implement feedback until we everyone agrees we can start the actual realization.
The production process of a video is time-consuming, and starting from a consolidated storyboard allow us to save time: it’s a perfect example of go slow to go fast.

The appointments with the OpenZone Talks continue: in the last meeting Ferruccio Resta, rector of the Politecnico di Milano and president of CRUI (Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities), spoke about the value of human capital and how universities and young people play a key role in facing the emergency and continuing towards the restart. Here our scribing of the event!

A few days ago we took part in the first appointment of “Parole al Lavoro” (EN, “Words at work”), the new choral project of IMA Diversity: through games and reflections, we help to create a glossary by focusing on words and their possible meanings. We had already got to know IMA in action, in a short training with them on the subject of inclusion, and once again interacting together was useful, very interesting and definitely fun!

How do our videos get used once released?
We are supporting a collaborative session for IDH and besides scribing and facilitating parts of the workshop, a speaker used a video we recently produced to introduce the context for the main topic.
Videos and animations are a great way to share content in a quick, compelling and creative way.

So what is scribing? And what is the concrete task of a graphic facilitator? From these and other questions, our Marcello Petruzzi collected and ordered thoughts, reflections and words, transforming them into different possible answers published in this long article on the website of the non-profit cultural association CheFare.

In recent years we have had the opportunity to collaborate with Slow Food Italia on many occasions and each of these has allowed us to get to know this association, which is also an international cultural movement, ever better.
