YOUZ – Regione Emilia-Romagna

A shared path to bring Regione Emilia Romagna youth’s ideas to life

YOUZ is the youth forum of the Emilia-Romagna Region — an inclusive, dynamic space for dialogue with the new generations. In 2022, it took on a traveling format with YOUZ Carovana: ten stops in different cities across the region, a participatory journey that engaged young people in a creative experience. We designed a modular workshop tailored to adapt to various contexts and communities, with the goal of bringing out the priorities felt by young people regarding regional policy topics. Each stop followed an active and engaging structure — from teamwork on real-life scenarios to the creation of avatars representing the expressed needs, later shared in plenary. The journey concluded with a lively, immersive setup featuring scribing, illustrations, and visualizations — giving visual form to the key themes that emerged, highlighting the dialogue built and the Region’s commitment to its younger generations.
