Rebranding of a traditional bakery
Context
Forno Calzolari is an Italian bakery that asked us to renew their corporate image, starting from the drawing of the girl at the core of their identity. The idea was to keep her while, at the same time, renewing and modernizing her, creating a coherent story with the existing one yet looking at the future. Essential for the project has been listening to the stories of the bakery’s birth, baking techniques, and the shared vision of the bakers themselves.
Process
We researched the story of the brand and the communication of some national and international bakeries, working on a style that could make the brand unique and distinctive. Thanks to hand-drawn illustrations we created and told a story about their core business, inviting customers to dream while buying bread, too.
Solution
A visual identity deeply grounded on a manual approach. From the logo to the business cards, food packaging, calendar, brochure and shop set up, to the design and the packaging of their well-known handmade Panettone, an Italian type of sweet bread loaf usually prepared for Christmas; Forno Calzolari communication is characterized by a strong storytelling with a light approach.
