The Bedrock of Inclusion

Context
We collaborated with Action Aid, Light for the world and Education International on this special animation, launched on #WorldTeachersDay, to inform on the urgent investment needed in teachers and education. Unless governments provide the right resources, millions of children – especially those with disabilities – will be left without access to quality, inclusive and equitable education.

Process
We carefully went through the study at the basis of the video’s content, commissioned in Ethiopia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria and Tanzania. We then prepared many characters’ tests to make sure we were representing the above-mentioned Sub-Saharan countries correctly and, with the invaluable inputs from the team, proceeded with the production process.

Solution
An animated video in seven languages (English, Amharic, Hausa, Portuguese, Yoruba, Chichewa, Swahili) and subtitles, to make sure it is easily accessible. Poetic illustrations and metaphors help the audience grasp the magnitude of this complex topic. The amazing soundtrack has been composed ad hoc by Mushroom Sound studio.
